The long-time SPD councilor Franz-Josef Altdorf passed away at the age of 83. He died on February 1, 2020, as announced by the SPD Alsdorf on its website. Altdorf was a member of the Alsdorf city council for 30 years and was particularly popular with the citizens.
Emma of Altdorf (also known as Hemma; 808–31 January 876) was the wife of Louis the German and Queen of East Francia. She was the daughter of Welf, Count of Altdorf, and his wife Heilwig.
