Tottenham Hotspur thrashed Aston Villa 4-0 to move within two points of their Champions League rivals as Unai Emery's side imploded after John McGinn's second-half red card.
Tottenham took the lead in the 11th minute when Son Heung-Min fired home from close range. The South Korean doubled his tally in the 37th minute with a stunning long-range effort.
Aston Villa were reduced to 10 men in the 60th minute when McGinn was sent off for a second bookable offence. Tottenham took full advantage of their numerical advantage, with Dejan Kulusevski adding a third goal in the 73rd minute and Richarlison completing the rout in the 84th minute.
The victory moves Tottenham up to fifth in the Premier League table, two points behind fourth-placed Arsenal. Aston Villa remain 11th, eight points adrift of the Champions League places.
